The Studio as a Workshop: Make A Hanging Mobile

The FN Lab introduces a series of participatory workshops where children are invited to assume the role of the “artist in the studio” and apply their own design elements to the Studio Youth space. These workshops encourage collaborative art-making practices: children will explore new techniques and learn how to work collectively on their final artworks. In this workshop you will explore the studio as a space for ‘making’ and the inclusion of different crafts and techniques that extend beyond the canvas. As a group, you will create large hanging mobile pieces using wire, wood, and clay and demonstrate how movement and motion bring this artwork to life!
